Taslima Nasreen is banking on an appeal from Italian poets, writers and artists to Sonia Gandhi to let her live freely in India, including Calcutta. "One thousand Italian poets, writers and artists have written to Sonia Gandhi describing my plight and requesting her permission to help me lead a free life in India…. I hope she will respond. His work kept him in a very comfortable lifestyle. And it was profitable from the time of Remington's death in 1909 onward, for people to create objects that they could sell as Remington Artworks.   -Laura Foster

Opening tomorrow night, November 21st, Euphoria Left The Room comes to Scion's Installation L.A. Gallery. The show is a group exhibition curated by Judith Schwarzbart –curator of the Copenhagen Quadrennial: U-TURN, that seeks to question what fragments of avant-garde thinking and visual experimentation are still at work in contemporary art practice. The tabular content relating to this article is not available to view. Apologies in advance for the inconvenience caused. Christie's owner François Pinault, artist Jeff Koons and Louvre museum director Henri Loyrette were just a few of the art world movers and shakers who flew into Abu Dhabi this week for the launch of Abu Dhabi Art. The event, a "cultural platform" including an art fair, was put together at breakneck speed this summer by the Emirati authorities and continues until tomorrow.
